Dearest readers, 

spending the past week traveling from the thick jungles of Stranglethorn into the lands of Stormwind I made a shocking discovery! Traversing these roads, I encountered foul creatures roaming Duskwood, Defias Brotherhood stalking Westfall and news from Redridge claims that Gnolls and Blackrock Orcs terrorize the local population! 

As if these misfortunes were not enough I found on several occasions, scattered at tavern floors and in the mud at the notice boards the most peculiar posters. Something I could only describe as a gang, calling itself “Catchpoles” is openly looking for like minded personnel of the scoundrel type. Apparently the Kingdom of Stormwind is in such disarray that besides the poorly formed militias now the central authorities are using taxpayer money to employ the desperate and those escaping the Stockades to receive indulgency by service! 

Shocked, appalled and intrigued I had to get to the bottom of this and made my way to Stormwind Keep looking for answers to questions not yet raised. Unfortunately, the King was on leave and Highlord Bolvar Fordragon was not available for comment. The guards at the gate were not too kind, and I have to add that the use of force from the authorities towards members of the press is in bad taste. Eyewitness accounts of a hysterical person in front of the Keep yelling obscenities should be dismissed as tall tales. 

But do not worry! My athleticism and knowledge of the corners in the Old Town secured me from any major harm and I shall continue to investigate this story!
